The horses are animals that were let free years ago and have lost all sense of domestication, they are as wild as wild can get..will charge you if you approach to closely and live on there own on a 13 by 8 mile area called the 'bottoms' within Fort Hall Indian reservation
No one feeds them in the winter, they browse for there own food, many of the young and sick are taken down by coyotes and they group together in herds to protect one another.
They were not very excited about me approaching them, they lined up and two big adults kept trying to flank me and get behind me.
