custome ordered it from hoya through a dealer in salt lake city called picture line.

it wasn't even in there catalog, called the NDX400 and cost me about 110 dollars

Its honestly a bit more neutral density than I need/want for many situations so I need to start saving up for a singhray set that is a bit less powerful, but its awesome to have for when you want insanely long shutterspeeds for the condition.

sounds like the deal I got when I needed a UV filter to block visible and IR. Ordered it from Hoya, custom made and $200. Takes good UV shots tho. Definitely worth it.

so the lens only allows ultraviolet to pass through, any examples of this on deviant art i would be intrested to see them.

foggy, interesting.
sky's a bit bright, but it takes up so little of the frame that it's not a worry.

As someone who lives on the CA coast, I'm wondering where you shot this. Looks almost like the Big Sur area, but I'm not sure.

Stewards point or maybe Sonoma..it started with a S? It was a large stretch of beaches that are open to the public and you can park for free in any one of several pull offs as you go north it becomes more privatized and more pay to enter must leave at sunset type places, One of the hardest parts about getting photos along that coast for me was getting access to the shoreline...so much private property and no trespassing signs :-(

What part of CA is this? Reminds me a lot of the coast near Cambria. :) Beautiful shot, I love how you captured the fog with it.

I can't stop staring at this picture. Perhaps its because I'm quite tired after eating Thanksgiving dinner. This is amazingly peaceful just to look at. Wonderful job.
