A coyote travels alone through a muddy marsh in seach of prey, because of the thickness of the brush and the muddy mess beneath him his walk was very pronounced and exaggerated compared to the smooth trot of a coyote on a solid surface.
What a way to start the season! Less than 20 minutes into Yellowstone this is the first wildlife photo taken by me in the park for 2009. I especially like the muddy feet from the marsh he was crossing.
I just returned from Yellowstone and it was an absolutely fantastic trip with some great captures the equipment I purchsed over the winter preformed fantasticly and although I am encountering a bit of a learning adjustment handling this size and reach of lens I feel I returned with some of the best images I have ever captured. Even better is my opprotunity of shooting greatly expanded with the extra reach and opened the doors to animals that were once nearly impossible for me to photograph.
I was also privileged to shoot along one of DeviantArts finest nature photographers Nzeman for a few hours Tuesday morning in what is easily one of the most incredible photo opportunities to date. Pictures to come from that, when I have time to give them the attention they deserve.
